I really do. I really enjoyed getting out and getting things done on the Digger even on crappy weather days like today. Just something about moving a lot of dirt & rocks or pushing things around on a large piece of equipment. Gonna need to rent one when we finally start building the back yard wall this next spring. Need to rent a small bulldozer for a weekend also to stir the driveways up sometime too.

Only Two More Days! Until Wednesday. That’s it. Just passing that on in case you didn’t realize it. When your days are as boring as mine you grab on to the silliest of things. Only 5 days until Friday! Which doesn’t mean anything to me as my weekends are exactly like any other day. Only 5 months until my 63rd Birthday! Only 21 months until that asshole is out of the White House! It’s the little goals that sustain us.

Not much going on for a Monday. Finished up the paperwork for my appointment this Friday and entered the address into the navigation system in my truck. Logged on and updated my medical stuff and tried to renew my prescriptions on the Naval Hospital website. About to get off my ass and get the rest of my chores done.

SWMBO just called and said that her boss is asking everyone to work some overtime this week; so she wants to. I’d have to pick her up at the later ferry though. No problem! I’d be glad to pick her up.

Hell, I don’t even remember stepping outside today. Not once.  Kinda crappy out there anyway. Wet but not really raining. Cold. I was pretty much content to just stay inside and get my usual schtuff done. Laundry. Other chores I usually do on Sunday.

SWMBO made fried chicken for dinner. Pretty good meal. Tasty. She sat and watched “Maleficent” with me while we ate. Not something we usually do but neither of us felt like cleaning the (her) junk off the table. And we wanted to be able to watch it all before the MCARC 2-meter Sunday Evening Chat Net. I enjoyed both the movie and having her sitting close.

Not much else going on around here. Pretty normal Sunday really.

Net went well. Seven check-ins. I don’t always want to run the Sunday Evening Chat Net, but I always enjoy it after I’ve gotten it started and running well.

I’ve had two monitors forever. The Hanns-G & AOC monitors have been working just fine for me. Bought this 32” TV/Monitor last month at Walmart’s mostly for the HDMI input (2 of them!) and cause I wanted a flat panel tv to (hang on the wall out of the way) watch the news on. Well, that HDMI is working great! Movies look really great on it. I have something going on it all the time while I ‘m still doing “stuff” on my other monitors. Glad I got it and the new video card. Spendy (for an old retired guy on Social Security) but worth it.

And I’ve mounted the Hanns-G on the wall (center), the 32” up off the desk (left), and the AOC off to the side (right).  Now if I could get Windows 7 to put a different background on each monitor instead of the same one on them all. I supposed there’s a program out there that’ll do that; but do I really want to load something else in memory? Not really.

Pretty normal Saturday around here. No MCARC meeting; and I got a couple of e-mails from folks that had showed up at the meeting place that said they wish they’d read the website beforehand. I keep telling them…

SWMBO showed up from the Genealogy Library and took me to dinner at Casper’s here in town. Great pizza but really spendy. Then we made our usual stop at Safeway and was home by 1730. Short date day. She has a quilt on her wall that she just has to finish by tomorrow. She’ll be up half the night.

And that’s pretty much it from the land of holy shit this is boring! Think I’ll watch “Guardians of the Galaxy” and hit the rack.

Such a big deal is made of the “12th Man” around here that they even hung a 12th Man flag from the Space Needle. Every Seahawk fan in town has a 12 on their shirts. I just don’t understand it and, really, it seems kind of silly. Do they really think they’re a part of the team and more than a means of making players/owner’s rich? But I’m not really a “sports” fan since they took the All Nude College Girls Volleyball games off tv.

Not much going on since I posted this morning. Got my usual done. Burned a bit more trash. Worked in the basement some more. I have 2 10-inch Ryobi table saws that I’ll never use so I’m thinking “Craig’s List.”

Made Kielbasa & Sauerkraut, and veggies, for dinner. Made way too much of it so there will be plenty left over for SWMBO. Sure was good though. Was surprised to actually find a jar of sauerkraut in the pantry. Would have had Dinty’s Beef Stew for dinner if I hadn’t found the sauerkraut. Which would have been okay too.

SWMBO got home safe and sat with me to watch “How To Train Your Dragon 2” so it’s gotten late (for me). Time to hit the rack!
