Spent $280 at Home Depot for items to build a trellis thingie for SWMBO’s rose bushes, and the makings to put in a picket fence to replace the “temporary” wire fence out back to keep larger animals off ours. The back fence area will be smaller than what’s there now; but I don’t think our animals need a large yard to go poop in.

Dinner at Arby’s and our usual stop at Safeway on the way home. Got some more of those good, dark, sweet, grapes. Other than that, pretty much SSDD for Safeway.

And mostly for our day. Was talking to SWMBO about us making more trips with the Caravan. We have to use it to make paying so much for the thing worth it. With her working during the week, the Genealogy Library on Saturday’s, and teaching Primary in Church on Sunday’s, she doesn’t have a lot of time to just go places. Not without a lot of pre-planning. Me, on the other hand, I can pick up and head out whenever I get the urge. I talked to her about those urges. She’d be okay with me taking a weekend every so often and going somewhere. I’d ask her if she wanted (or was able) to go along first; but that’s because I enjoy spending time with her.

So it may be time to visit the John Day Fossil Beds, or the Pine Mountain Observatory, for a weekend or two sometime this summer.

Not that one day really makes a difference over another. Retired, you know. The only good thing about Friday, to me, is that it means SWMBO has a couple of days off from work and she gets to spend some of that time with me. That’s cool!

Not much going on around here. Tried mowing; danged tire went flat. Almost came off the wheel. Tried inflating it but my air tank thingie doesn’t put out enough air at once to make the tire “catch” and inflate. Thank you tubeless tires. Means I’m going to be making a trip to Les in  beautiful downtown Belfair soon as I find if I’m picking SWMBO up tonight. (If I am, then a quick stop by DQ would not be too far off route.)

So I took the tire to Les and sat around for about half an hour while they fixed it. Cost $10! But they took care of where it was leaking so it should be good for awhile. Stopped by DQ and got the $5 Cheese burger lunch on the way home.

Ate that then put the wheel back on the mower and finished mowing the back yard. Mowed the front yard. Put things away (cause if I don’t I’ll forget where I put it the next time I need it). Just chillin’ now until time to pick SWMBO up at the QFC parking lot.

Anywho, that’s about it for this Friday. Think I’ll check the new Trailers on YouTube.

Only more so. I was so bored, and starting to get a headache, by 1400 (after getting all my usual chores done) that I went out and finished building the trellis for the peas to climb, and other things in the garden. Not exactly what I call a nice day out there, sunny but not yet 60 degrees, but nice enough to get out and do something.

Did make a run to the Post Office and ACE Hardware earlier. Lucky I got out of the hardware store as cheaply as I did! Didn’t spend a dime. Wanted to. Didn’t. I have such self control. And I don’t know that I really want to spend around $300 for a straight-shaft whack-weeder.

People really worried about the May Day marches tomorrow. Every year some assholes get violent. I think it’s time to just start shooting them when they get that way. How they turn a peaceful May Day March into a riot is criminal, I don’t care what their reason’s are. But that’s just me. I’m a Redneck.

Made myself fish & chips for dinner. Was good. Then I went back and warmed up an ear of corn (1 of 2 we bought the other day). That was good too. If SWMBO doesn’t eat her’s I probably will.

Not a whole lot going on. SWMBO’s home and has made herself some dinner. Left me that other ear of corn. But now it’s too late for me to eat anything if I want to sleep tonight.
