Meaning I did stuff around the house while SWMBO went to the Genealogy Library. It was a nice day out so I spent as much time outside as I could. Warm. Sunny. Nice. Spent some time just lounging, watering the garden, straightening things up. You know: Stuff.

SWMBO called about 1500 and said that she was going to stop and get an oil change on the way home. I don’t know why, but I got instantly depressed. Then she called about 2 minutes later saying that her car wouldn’t start; she thought it was the battery. Could I come help her?

Duh! So I made sure I had my jumper cables with me, jumped in the truck and headed out. Got to her about half an hour later, jumped her car (which started right up) and watched her take off for home (via Oil Can Henry’s).

I went on into the Home Depot in Silverdale and bought 3 of those wasp traps. We are over run with Wasps early this year. BooKoo stingie things. Our Renter is slightly allergic to them. His Son is highly allergic to them. Just makes sense to try to capture all the Wasps I can before either of them gets stung.

And that’s pretty much it. SWMBO and I ate Papa Murphy’s (Love at 425 degrees) and watched “The Spiderwick Chronicles” for our dinner date. Trip to Safeway for some stuff we needed. And now we’re settling in for the evening.

Wow. A Semi loaded with Bees overturned on I-5 North. What a sticky situation!

Not much else going on this early. Ought to get off my fat old ass and get my day started. What to do today? Maybe I ought to get that pool set up? Go bowling around noon? Move my 2-meter antenna to where I really want it? Buy/Rent a pressure washer and get to cleaning the moss off my roof? (Actually, that sounds like a job for a much warmer day. And someone else.)

Decided not to go bowling today at 1200 as I get to go into town anyway to pick SWMBO up. Have to save gas where I can, you know. Of course, I may still go around 1600, bowl a couple of games, then waste time until time to pick her up. Sounds like a plan.

Meanwhile, it’s getting kinda sorta warm out. Think I’ll burn the trash (if it ain’t too breezy). Which it was. So I made a trip to ACE and got some peas, bell peppers, some other peppers, and some of those cherry tomato plants. Then the Dog and I worked in the garden for an hour or so.  Lookin’ good!

Sun is out and it’s supposed to get up around 70 degrees today. Cool! Which means I won’t get a whole lot done inside; and probably damned little done outside. Although I do need to button up the tent trailer. Probably once it’s completely dry.

Made a run to ACE Hardware for a broom (figured it would be cheaper than Safeway) and distilled water. Got behind some dick talking on his phone and driving about 10 miles below the speed limit. Luckily I didn’t have to follow him for far. When I’m made Dictator it’ll be legal to run those assholes off the road.

Spent the afternoon just sitting in the Sun or moving things around outside. Did repack the Tent Trailer. Found a foot-long Rat living in that bunched up pool I got from a friend last year and evicted it. Tried to kill it but the BB wouldn’t crack his skull. Probably gave him a hell of a headache though!

And that’s pretty much it. When it’s nice outside you can expect that I’ll be outside as much as possible. Which means I don’t get much done. Ah well.

Got tired of being around the house so I drove in to the Bowling place in Port Orchard to check it out. Busy! It looked like every person over the age of 60 that lives in town was there. League stuff. Turns out the best time for a “loner” is between 1200-1700. So I guess I’ll go back Friday. (Am thinking of going bowling on Mon-Wed-Fri just to get off my fat old ass for awhile.) Costs $3/game though.

Then I got busy straightening up my “send to Kindle” thingie at Amazon and reading my daily e-mail load. It’s getting sunny out so I’m about to head out and do some of the garden stuff. May even take the Dog along (although he gets pretty bored with me working in one place so long).

Took the Dog with me and worked on the garden beds for awhile. Nice and sunny and almost warm. Once I got warmed up though it went a lot better. Got one bed ready for peas. That’s all I’m going to grow this year; cause I like eating peas right off the vine. We’re going to be doing some work in the back yard and will be moving all the planting beds before next winter. Trying to save some of that expensive dirt we bought for the raised beds.

Got nice enough to take all my clothes off and sit in the sun awhile. Supposed to be nicer over the next few days. Hope so. If it really does get above 70 degree’s over the weekend through Tuesday, I won’t be good for doing anything inside the house. We’ll be outside.

MCARC 2-meter Wednesday Evening Chat Net went well. KC7WNJ runs a good Net. I even managed to correctly answer the W7FBI trivia question. (The Titanic.)
