Really Wet & Windy Out.

Didn’t really start out that way @ 0700 when I finally got my fat, lazy, old ass out of bed. Slept in snuggled up to my schweetie cause she didn’t have to get up too early today. Genealogy Library day.

So, since she had to take the truck to the library, I just did things around the house (laundry & my usual chores) and researched R-Pods & New Trucks online. HOURS later I’m undecided between the Toyota Tacoma (around $25k) and the GMC Sierra (around $25k) as far as trucks go. R-Pod prices go from $15k to $22k depending on how far I want to drive to pick it up. Idaho seems to have pretty good prices on them. Hey, I wonder if they’d have better prices on trucks? Hmmm.

SWMBO got home about 1500 and took me to a late lunch/early dinner at Arby’s in Silverdale. It also started raining and hasn’t stopped. Spent too much money at COSTCO (again) and made our usual stop by Safeway (gas for $2.76/gal).

Lucille Ball in Roman Scandals (1933)

Got home and unloaded the truck. Really getting windy and wet out there. My antenna wire is really bouncing up and down. I’ll be surprised if I don’t lose it tonight. Was going to take it down and re-do it anyway.

Bought Seasons 3 & 4 of the Doctor Who reboot at COSTCO. I think it was worth the $20 each just to get a better rip on my tv drive. SWMBO doesn’t quite fell that way about it. But she’s not a “Whovian.”

And not much else going on. We’ll probably just chill until bedtime. I’m finishing up the latest “Godzilla” and will probably switch to Doctor Who until I crash. (Which reminds me: time to download the latest episode!)

Just Not Much Going On

GADS, my life is boring sometimes! And I don’t even have the decency to keep it to myself. I have to get on here and regale Y’all with my boring days!

Made a Safeway run and filled the truck and the can with $3.02/gal gas. Rained pretty much the whole time I was out. Good thing I also got two donuts to console myself…

Then spent all afternoon canning tomato’s. Got 7 quarts (cause one didn’t seal) and 23 pints (cause one broke). Now, what to do with them? Still have cases of tomato’s left over from last year we haven’t used. I know! I’ll keep them for when we shelter in place from the Ebola.

MCARC 2-meter Wednesday Evening Chat Net went well. About 10 check-ins. Roland (KC7WNJ) does a good job. We had a real downpour here while the Net was going on.

And that’s pretty much it for tonight. Net’s over. Think I’ll watch Big Bang Theory and hit the rack.

Another SSDD Saturday

Which I started at 0630 this morning. And I just haven’t been doing much but playing with xampp while doing my regular chores. Damn, I lead a boring life!

Did try that powdered milk from Thrive on my cereal this morning. Ugh. Didn’t taste quite right (too creamy?) and my cereal mushed way faster. It’ll be okay for regular drinking, or cooking with, but I think I’ll stick to regular milk for my cereal.

Sun finally came out and I got to sit on the front porch for awhile. Feels Nice! Just chillin’ while listening to 15-meters and just not being busy. Thought about making a recyclables run; but just thought about it. I’ll probably do it after Monday when the weather isn’t this good.

SWMBO got home about 1530 and took me to an early dinner at Taco Bell. I like Taco Bell. Then we stopped by Saint Vincent’s where I bought a new keyboard with bigger, brighter keys and a PF 1800 AFL film scanner ($5) to play with. If it works, great. If I play with it awhile and it still doesn’t work, great. (So far I keep getting a device not recognized error. Probably need drivers but I’m hesitant to download what’s claimed to be the driver from some of the places I was referred to. Just call me paranoid.)

My New Keyboard. Cause I'm Old.

Stopped by the house then went back down to Safeway for our usual Saturday trip to Safeway. Spent just as much money as we usually do Thrive not withstanding. But we did buy a couple of different things this time.

And so we’re home safe and mostly sound. Was going to watch the latest Doctor Who but it’s pretty close to my bedtime. I have to wear that monitor tonight to get that done with. Oh Joy!
