But I did manage to get down in the basement for awhile and work on putting that room in. Had to stop to put dinner together; spaghetti & steamed cauliflower. Yummy!

Managed to get out between the raindrops and make a couple of flights. Two flights. One bush. One antenna wire. My aim is improving!

Made a run to the Post Office and mailed off the thumb drives to my Father-in-law with some things I think he’ll like. Stopped by Blockbuster and rented Resident Evil 2-4 and Forest Gump. Blue-ray rocks!

Did a hard re-boot of my radio (yesterday? Day before?) to see if the CAT problems would fix itself. Didn’t. So spent several hours last night putting everything back into memory and getting it all back to the way I usually have it. Kind of fun!

Man, some of this music from Gump in Vietnam sure brings back some memories!

Except I did manage to spend a couple of hours in the basement moving things around in my shop so we can make our Son a room to live in. Really want to get him out of the “common” area. It was fairly physical as I had to move a butt-ton of wood around, the saw out of the way then sweep up all the sawdust. Was kind of fun though. Man, I didn’t realize just how much “stuff” I have in the basement! Already thinking of how I can straighten/neaten it up after the room is built. I see… Floor to ceiling deep shelves along the new wall…

Other than that pretty much SSDD today. Sun was out quite a bit, and felt pretty good when I took a minute to just sit out; but the wind kept it too cool to really relax and enjoy the sun. Ah well. Summer is on the way.

Read somewhere that Obamacare will give the Government full access to our bank accounts. Read somewhere else that the latest budget by NObama wants to cap the amount we can keep in our savings accounts. I don’t believe the Government should have access to either and they damned sure have no right to tell me how much I can save! This is one of those times the Government can kiss my old ass!

I can sometimes NOT believe I spent 20 years defending this country from enemies, both foreign & domestic, to see the Government we have today. I sometimes wish there were a way to take it all back. The Country, that is. I’m ready for the armed insurrection. Wish I knew how to get it started. I hate NObama and his Cadre with a passion.

Woke up this morning without a headache! Nice. I try to watch what I eat during the day (no chocolate well before bedtime) so I don’t eat any of my “triggers.” I’m not sure what caused this last bout, but it lasted about as long as they usually do. It really gets bad when they last 3 or more days in a row. THAT really sucks!

Not much going on around here today. SWMBO took her car to the KIA repair in Bremerton to get her glove box fixed (they had to order parts in from LA) and do some other running around. That left me at home pretty much by myself all day.

So, got some laundry done. Straightened up my radio/computer room (hence shortened to My Room) and cooked fish for dinner.

I also moved the printer server computer into my room and hooked it up to my radio to see if it would have the same losing connection problem as the laptop. After all that work setting things up; it did. So it’s either a bad cable or the CAT connection/function in the radio is TU. Personally, I hope it’s the cable. I have no idea how to get the CAT connection/function in the radio fixed. Maybe a hard reset? Hmmm… I’ll probably try that but it is a real pain to set it back up again. Almost too many memory banks to re-fill.

Got in one “flight” today and that was fun. Learning how to control the Drone a bit better each time I get it out. Recording to a USB drive onboard doesn’t seem to give as good video quality as recording on the Nexus 7 though. I wonder if it’s because the USB is a 16-gig drive? I’ll try a smaller one sometime and see.

Waiting for the MCARC 10-meter chat net @ 1930 on 28.450 USB then have to make a quick run to the Post Office to drop Netflix off.

Gonna order me a stand for the Nexus 7 that lets you set the thing at an angle so you can view whatever without straining your neck looking down or propping it on something else. Also acts as a cover. Now I need to spring for the screen protectors. At $25 that’s may wait awhile…

Not as bad as yesterday but irritating. Like a toothache (I gots no teef!) that includes the left side of my head. So far the ASA I’ve taken hasn’t touched it. I’m thinking it’s time for some 90-proof! (Except I haven’t had a drink since around 1986 or so.)

Sunny off and on so I did get out and “fly” a couple of times. Didn’t hit any tree’s the first time out! Woo woo!

UPS dude just delivered our Son’s new GAMING computer. Hope it works out for him. I’d rather he saved up for a good down payment on a new car. He;s always welcome to live here as long as he needs to; but a working vehicle would help more than a new gaming computer. Hell, even I made sure the bills are paid before I buy a toy… (I don’t splurge often, but when I do, Oh Brother!)
