It’s Sunday already! What a week! Sorta.
Had a thoracic ultrasound last Wednesday; which turned out normal. No thrombosis, embolism, whatever the hell they were looking for. My Aorta Ain’t Bulging! But that’s good. Means I won’t suddenly bleed out into my thoracic cavity. Not that the fat would leave any room for blood to pool anyway.
Unfortunately, the veins in my legs allow backflow so I’ll have to have them fixed. Doc’s got me wearing compression socks for the next 90 days and we’ll go from there. Then she’ll schedule me for having those vein’s closed off (with glue!) and, hopefully, that’ll fix that.
Having a good ultrasound leaves me open for butt-surgery this Wednesday tho. Which I’m NOT looking forward to but will go through cause it’s the best thing for me to do. Joy. From what I’ve been reading online I’m hoping for a completely normal recovery. No one posted that they died from after surgery pain, so, I’m expecting it to be majorly uncomfortable, but not fatally so.
And I have survived all my teeth (all 8 of them at the time) being yanked out for my dentures, my gall bladder being removed, sinus surgery, spiral tib-fib fracture, and a divorce. So I’ll survive this.
Was watching a program about “Save The Earth – Eat Bugs†and found that pretty interesting. I could do it; switch to bugs for protein. As long as they didn’t have the consistency of boiled okra I can eat pretty much anything. I know what real hunger is like. (We were pretty poor sometimes while growing up.)
So I was thinking I should open a restaurant here in Belfair. “Insecta-Sides†and specialize in bugs for dinner. Wouldn’t/couldn’t expect to make a zillion bucks or anything; but it might be fun. Not sure I need the notoriety but it still might be fun.
Went and had a pre-surgery covid-19 test today. Girl did 5 swirls of each nostril and told me that was it. I said that ain’t it. It was a 35 minute drive each way, so, do it again. She laughed and kicked me out. On the way out she said I had to “self-quarantine†until my surgery. Yeah, Sure. That’ll happen. Watch!
I don’t mean to be a Grinch however…. to those of you who are placing Christmas lights/decorations in your yards (WAY too early if I do say so!), would you please avoid anything that has Red or Blue flashing lights together?
Every time I come around the corner, I think it’s the police and I have a panic attack. I have to brake hard, toss my wine out the window, fasten my seat belt, throw my phone on the floor, turn my radio down, and push the gun under the seat. All while trying to drive and I’m not even a good driver!
It’s just too much drama, even for Christmas.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
