Pretty Normal Around Here.

Which means just not a lot happening. DID have a really nice date day with my Schweetie yesterday. She took me to Red Lobster for Lobster Fest. I had a bowl of clam chowder and a side of Walt’s Shrimp. She had shrimp alfredo. I like Lobster, but was in the mood for a simple meal that wouldn’t fill me up so much I’d be uncomfortable. Besides, the company is the best part anyway.

Then we did our usual at Walmart. I bought a big roaster pot thing ($30) made out of that copper stuff. Man, that stuff cleans easy! She made London Broil for dinner tonight and the burnt on stuff basically rinsed right off when I got to doing dishes. Nice. Well worth it if things makes my chores easier.

Didn’t want to do it but I posted (mailed and registered) an Eviction Notice on the MIL|A door for the Renter. Mailed a copy to her work too. Even tried using Messenger to let her know but I don’t know if she’s seen it or not. If I don’t hear from her by Wednesday next then RCW 59.18.310 says I can consider the place abandoned and start packing her stuff. I truly wish it hadn’t some to this.

No idea where things we TU either. When she stopped by to get her wheels last Saturday (week ago) she really acted like she didn’t even want to talk to me. Rude. Curt. I almost think that now that she doesn’t need me to testify in her behalf she’s just kicked me to the curb. Which is too bad cause I’d have testified the same thing even if we hadn’t been friends. Or, I thought we were friends. Ah well.

So, need to get her stuff out and get the place fixed up so we can start renting it out again. Raising the rent to $1k since we’re not having any luck with the $700/mo crowd. We tried to keep it low to help out some low-income folks and it just ain’t working. Need to redo the floor(s), paint and add lights to the bath, and fix up the kitchen for sure.

Most of our snow has evaporated instead of melting. All the underbrush is still beat down and I’m thinking it’ll take a couple of years to bounce back. But, who knows.

Anywho, that’s pretty much it. SSDD mostly. NOT looking forward to the confrontation with the Renter. Guess I’ll survive as long as she doesn’t shoot me. And she does have a gun. And I still like her dang it.
