Let’s see. Wednesday, Nate came over and picked up the Digger. Goodbye, Digger. I’ll miss you! (Six years! I had her six years!)

So, after checking with SWMBO to be sure it was okay, I “consoled” myself by making a run to Wal-Mart to pick up a Nexus 7. Only, Wal-Mart didn’t have any Nexus 7’s. (Even though they had a sign up saying the price.) So I went to Staples. THEY had them for the same price as Wal-Mart. (Thank you, Staples.)

So I got me a Nexus 7. So far I like it. I think I still like reading on the Kindle better; but the Nexus 7 does a whole bunch of things the Kindle can’t. Of course, I sort of enjoy the “setting things up” part more than anything else. Sort of. Spent a couple of hours playing with the Nexus 7 last night…

And I’m not even sure if the Nexus 7 can replace the Digger… I’ll give my review of it at a later date. Once I’ve had a chance to really put it through it’s paces.

Haven’t really done much of anything today except make a trip to my bank. Lots of traffic on the main drag of Belfair today!!! I don’t know where they were coming from or where they were going but there sure was a lot of them.

NMARES meeting at 1900 tonight at the QFC. I kind of expect only 2-3 of us will show up.

And that’s about it for now. I’ll wait to post this until after the meeting.

I’m back! Meeting went as usual except we actually had a new guy show up. Cool!

Decided to make sort of a “stir-fry” for dinner. Cubed Pork Chops marinated in soy juice and red wine stuff.  Next I’ll fry it in the sauce then add veggies & cabbage and my “secret” sauce and served with some rice (for SWMBO). I’ll let y’all know how it turned out! (It was fairly good, actually.)

Turned out to be a fairly decent day. Sun didn’t really come out until really late afternoon. But I got out on the Digger and finished the ditch out back. So I’m really done with the Digger now.

And that’s about it from here…

Cause I get so much more done. And today was one of those warmer days. Must have gotten up to 60 degrees and was mostly sunny! Woo woo!

So, I got out on the digger and worked on the garden area, moved a downed tree around, and dug that ditch at the back of the property I’ve been meaning to. Funny how selling the Digger got me motivated to get some of the projects done.

Climbed on the roof and fixed the 40-meter leg of my antenna. Dishes and laundry, of course. Took the Dog for a walk. Got some other small things done that I’ve just been waiting for the weather to get better to do.

Yes, I Like Warmer Days!

I don’t know why. I’ve cut down my intake of caffeine during the day but that doesn’t seem to be the problem. Just could not get comfortable in bed. Even tried sleeping in one of our chairs in the tv room. Finally passed out about 0230 or so. Woke up this AM long enough to turn the alarm off; then laid back down until 0800.

Nate is coming over this afternoon to look the Digger over. Got out and pressure washed her and greased her up. Hadn’t realized that she’s starting to look a bit rusty in places; but I couldn’t afford to get her repainted anyway. Hmmm…

More later. Gotta eat some breakfast before I faint.

Ok, it’s much later in the day. A couple called and asked to look at the MILA today; so they came over and had a look. Seemed like friendly folks. He likes gardening and wants to get into Ham Radio. They both are readers also. This could work out…

Nate came over and took a test drive/dig on the Digger and decided to buy it. Gave me enough to hold it for him so I’ll have to take down the ad on Craig’s List. Cool. I really (really!) hate to sell my digger but we absolutely need the money right now. But I know that, as he’s loading the Digger up n his trailer, I’ll be fighting back the tears. And as they pull off I’ll be running down the driveway screaming “MY BABY! MY BABY! COME BACK. YOU CAN HAVE YOUR MONEY JUST BRING MY BABY BACKL!!!”   I will miss her though.

Anyway, SWMBO is making dinner tonight. Sauerbraten. Toledo style. Yummy.
