Ah. Our Modern Life.

Phone wanted to update a bunch of stuff, but didn’t have room because of all the other stuff I had on the internal storage (and extra memory card). So I spent almost an hour figuring out what I actually use, on the phone, and uninstalling those apps I just don’t really use (on the phone). Most of what I uninstalled I also have on my Nexus 7 and really only use them there. So I figure “Why have it in both places?”

Plus, if I get somewhere and really need an app, I can always reinstall it. Just don’t see that happening. Phone screen is really too small for X-Plane, SkyEye, and a couple of others. Mostly, just let me check my e-mail, calendar, and make a call if I need to. The only other thing about my phone is I purely hate those apps Google/HTC installed that won’t let me uninstall them. I rarely use Peep and never any of the games; so let me uninstall the damned things!

Not much else going on. Feeling kind of sore still so I’m going to skip bowling today. Sides, it’s supposed to get nice outside so I’ll probably just hang around the house anyway. Checked my e-mail. Got on the phone and refilled my meds. About to order some more e-juice from Mt. Baker Vapor. Bought PowerISO online. Thinking of ordering X-Plane but it’s kind of spendy. Sometimes I think places ought to sell things cheaper to us “Old” folks; we may die before the next update.

So, what did I do since I didn’t go bowling because I’m still feeling sore? Why, I got out the whack-weeder and whack-weeded what needed to be whacked-weeded. Only took 2 hours. Will look really good when I mow. Again. Damn, I’d have been better off going bowling.

It got up to 75 degrees today! Nice! My peas have sprouted! Nice! So I worked in the garden to get their climbing thingie set up. Just stayed outside as much as possible.

There Are Only Two Things I Don’t Like

And one of these days I’ll get it narrowed down to those two.

Just another Sunday so far. I did get off my fat lazy and make cheese-mater-mushroom omelets and peppered bacon for breakfast for my lovely young bride and myself. Was good. Now I’m getting my usual Sunday chores done and kinda sorta watching old sci-fi movies on YouTube. There’s some “wish we could get up to b-grade” movies there!

Really spent my day just “straightening things up on my computer” (which means farting around) and doing my usual Sunday stuff. A friend called with some questions about his radio (Bofeng) and that took all of 10 minutes.

SWMBO made her version of sauerbraten for dinner. Poured it over baked potato’s instead of noodles. Had some of our home grown peas with it. Was good.

The MCARC 2-meter Sunday Chat Net went well. Had eight check-ins tonight and pretty much everyone had a great signal. Readable, at least.

And that’s pretty much it. Watching the 2nd of the “Planet of the Apes” reboot. I like it, so far. The fight was inevitable, but I still hated to see it happen. (I know, It’s A Movie!)

Actually, My Truck Has A Clutch

Just not a manual one like the last truck had. Thought I’d set that straight before one of the 14 year old SJW’s on Tumblr messaged me to say different.

Not much else going on around here. Almost wet out. Windy. SWMBO left to go to the Genealogy Library but her friend didn’t show up and everyone else from the Library is at some class in Silverdale; so she came on home. But she is in her room doing Genealogy. Think I’ll let her get away with it until 1400 or so then drag her to the Mall for a walk.

Which I did. Made a stop at Jo Ann’s Fabric’s before eating dinner at Wok On Fire in Silverdale. Walked the Mall afterwards. Both of us got one of those 20-minute head and arms massage at the massage place in the Mall. SWMBO enjoyed it. I thought it just hurt. Except the arm and hand part. That felt good. Really good. Bought a couple of firm pillows at KOHLS.

Made our usual stop at Safeway and now we’re home. Tired. Still sore from the bowling but slowly getting better. Think I’ll just veg out the rest of the evening. I’m really pretty good at that.

Holy Crap I’m Getting Old!

Legs were kind of “achy” from bowling last Wednesday, so I was almost inclined to forgo my plans to go bowling today. (Remember that I want to start bowling every Mon-Wed-Fri for “exercise” and to get out of the house for awhile.) But I figured that going bowling would work the soreness out. Yeah, right. Forgot I’m getting Old.

So, I went bowling. Throwing the first ball my left leg said “WTF Do You Think You’re Doing!?!?!” Man, that didn’t feel good. Then it started trying to cramp on me. Oh, Yeah. That Hurt. And every ball after that was problematical that the ball would even hit the end of the lane. Left leg was yelling “FEEL THIS, BITCH!” the whole time.

Three games. Broke 100 once. Barely. Now, I’m not blaming my legs cause I’m now, and have always been, a crappy bowler. But, damn! But at least I didn’t fall on my face. Barely.

My left leg still hurts 8 hours later. I got to pick SWMBO up at the Ferry Landing tonight and I’m glad I got a truck without a clutch.
