Nothing Going On Here…

But there was a KOMO4 News Helo crash in Seattle @ 0740 (or so) this morning. Feel bad for the two that died, the other that was injured, but the News Weenies have gone bug-fuck nuts trying to comment everything to death. And their “eye witnesses!” I don’t know. Maybe I spent too much time working in the Emergency Medical field to get overly excited/bummed. And since SWMBO would have still been on the ferry at that time I wasn’t worried for her.

Don’t get me wrong; I think we need News. It’s the Speculation, Repetition and Description Of The Obvious that gets to me. What was it the one Reporter said? “We don’t know how much of the victim’s body was burned. 20, 30,40 percent, we just don’t know.” He should have stopped at the end of the first sentence. The rest is just for the “OMG” factor. And how many different ways can they ask the same question?

How "Hunger Games" Should Have Been Filmed!

Didn’t post yesterday cause it was so boring I almost fell asleep on myself! Still too wet but the Dog and I did manage a walk around the property. Picked SWMBO up at the usual time. Went to bed at the usual time. Got to sleep without too much noise from the Renters. Got up at my usual time to start it all over again.

That’s pretty much it. Made a trip to the Post Office to mail off the MCARC Insurance payment. Stopped at Safeway for sugar. Picked up mail on the way home.

Local Reaction To Obama's "get tough with Russia" Speech

Made my usual trip to pick SWMBO up and we’re home safe. Rained a bit on the way back. She had us stop at Safeway also; needed bread & ham and a couple of other thing. I don’t mind stopping though. I get to hold her hand while we walk.

I Hate Reporters!

I’ve never heard a more insensitive, ignorant, talkative bunch of talking heads in my life! You need a stupid question asked? Find a “reporter.” You need someone to be “glad it wasn’t worse, cause it could have been worse?” Find a “reporter.” Need the highly obvious stated? Find a “reporter.”

Yes, I’m watching the News about the tornado in Oklahoma. Yes, I cannot believe some of the questions “reporters” ask survivors. Yes, I cannot believe how serious they are in “reporting” the Obvious. I think it’s stating the obvious that really gets to me. The way they lead the “witness” to get the absolute worst case scenario possible. Yes, we can tell that was a building without you telling us what it used to be. Damn, those look an awful lot like downed power poles even before you pointed them out to us. I just loved the way you described that pile of cars that I was looking at as being piled up that way from the wind of the tornado. I’d have never guessed!

Bermuda-Cloud-Tornado

AAAAAAaaarrrrrrggggghhhh! Now the local News is telling us as bad as the Tornado’s are in the Midwest, we COULD suffer even worse from the inevitable Earth Quake that COULD happen here.

I know. I know. News programs are geared to the lowest common mentality of their watchers and I shouldn’t be upset. News programs (reporters) have to sensationalize their small bit of coverage (so you’ll tune in again). They have to remind you that it could  have been a lot  worse. Dicks.

OKLAHOMA-TORNADO

Now I’m waiting for NObama to break in and tell us how terrible it is and that we will ALL pull together to comfort the survivors and how he hopes they all have Obamacare… (I mean: how can we pay attention to Benghazi, AP phone records or the IRS targeting conservatives with people dying in Oklahoma Tornado’s?)

OTT a pretty normal Monday around here. Nice Wx day for us though. Seems tomorrow it (the Wx) will be worse. Possibility of a bit of wind mixed in with the rain and we COULD have some thunder near the mountains. Prepare! Prepare!

tornadoes

Dang! I’ll bet I missed it cause I had to turn the News off before flinging my tv out the window. I’ll bet “they” (the reporters) asked “What would happen if we had a Tornado here in the Seattle area?”

Maybe I’m just getting old. And cranky.
