Bored again. Watching “Invasion of the Bee Girls” and it is really bad. Not as bad as that one last night; but bad. Reminded me of a Bo Derrick movie: Not enough T&A to make it worth watching the whole thing. (You think I’m kidding!? Watch “Ghosts Can’t Do It” and tell me different.)

Piece on Yahoo News about “100 billion scary alien planets.” Wish I could go see them! I really was born a couple of hundred years too early. I want to stick around long enough to go out and explore the Galaxy. Won’ t happen but I can wish…

MC-ARC Wednesday Evening 2-meter Net went well last night. Got out and looked at the stars some more but it was just too cold to set up my telescope. Didn’t do much else.

Seems like Barnes & Noble may be going down the tubes. That would be bad! While I’ve heartily jumped into the electronic reader with both feet, I still enjoy hard copy every once-in-awhile. And I’d hate for Amazon to be the only place I could buy an e-book. I think I’d just download them from torrent sites before being forced to buy from Amazon. I’ve been saving up for a Nook HD cause I like being able to add more storage space for movies and stuff. Can’t add storage space to the Nexus 7 or others. Can’t afford anything from Apple and I don’t really like Apple anyway. I’ll probably wind up buying the Nook HD anyway and loading my own books and content on it myself. I don’t *need* an online store to get things!

Yeah, sometimes I feel like I’m going nuts. But this time I manage to get over it. I think mostly it comes on when I try to completely change what I’m doing. So I step outside and “smoke”. Not as often…

I first tried the e-cig called “Square.” Not cheap. At $13 each they’re supposed to be the equivalent of 2.5 packs of regular (analog) smokes. Yeah, I’d guess about that as each one lasts me 2.5 to 3 days. But they are spendy. Cheaper to smoke regular cigarettes as I was paying about $2/pak for what I was smoking. But they have the “feel” I need and it’s probably the healthiest $13 I’ve spent in years!

So I bought this e-cig “starter kit” put out by Fifty-One “The Trio” hoping to save a few bucks. I can sum up my feelings about this kit in two words: It Sucks! Three words: It Really Sucks. Even four words: It Really Really Sucks.  I’ve used 12 of the 15 refill filters and only 4 have worked as I feel they should. The rest have had no/very little “smoke” (even on a just charged battery) and absolutely no “throat hit.” (Which you’d have to know about e-cigs to understand what that means.) Well, let’s just say I’m not impressed. As an alternative to smoking I wouldn’t recommend this kit to anyone.

So I got hold of my youngest daughter, who is also trying to quit smoking by using an e-cig, to find out what kind she uses. Something called a Volcano Inferno. So I went and checked it out. And wound up buying the Volcano Inferno Tank Kit for way too much money. But I’m hoping after the initial layout this will make it cheaper. (My daughter said to get the drip kit but the tank kit sounded better for me.) So far, without having actually tried the unit yet, the only complaints I have are: 1) my order did not ship within 24 hours. But in all honesty I did order late Saturday night! and 2) it was supposed to be here today and it wasn’t. But that’s probably USPS’ fault. (Hell, I’m surprised the USPS gets anything anywhere in the first place!)

Anywho, we’ll see how this all works. Been three weeks now. Think I’ll find something and kill it. Just kidding. Maybe.

Not much else going on around here. Pretty much SSDD for me. Dishes, laundry, cleaning up after SWMBO; the usual. Wx sucks but is supposed to get better (hotter) starting Saturday and lasting for 4 days or so before going back to crappy with a chance of rain.

Taking SWMBO to see The Avengers tomorrow morning.
